ELLIS, Willie - 1901

Alamo News items -- Willie Ellis, the 13-year-old son of Joseph Ellis of this place died at his home last Friday morning after a life of suffering, his disease being organic heart trouble. His death was unexpected to nearly everyone except his near friends. Willie was a pale, delicate looking boy. He was pleasant, polite and kind toward everyone.  He had no enemies. He will be greatly missed by all his friends. The home circle is broken; the father and mother, brothers and sisters will grieve for the absent one, and many a lonely day and night will pass away ere they can be consoled to their loss. The funeral services were held at the Christian Church.  Rev. Daugherty delivered the sermon, after which the body was taken to the Lutheran Cemetery near Wallace. – kbz
